Directions for use:

  • Wash 1 part of rice in water, thoroughly.
  • Soak the rice in clean water overnight (6-8 hours).
  • In a pressure cooker, add 1 part rice to 2 parts water.
  • Pressure cook the rice on a high flame.
  • Lower the flame after the first whistle and continue cooking for about 15 minutes.

(You could also use black rice to make curd rice, dosa, idli, appam, idiappam, neer dosa and more!)
