Pristine was born with the dream of a young couple to do something that would make a change to the health of this great nation.
Raghu and Deepa met as colleagues in a food analytical laboratory in 1989. Their experience as food analysts naturally catapulted their orientation to food quality and food safety . Their initial years of work experience and their deep interest in understanding the role of nutrition in health, gained by abundant reading and related trainings, culminated in a deep desire to develop a micronutrient delivery system .
They ventured into researching and developing food formulations and fortificants that would be holistic, nutritious, safe, healthy, and above all address the “hidden hunger” which is a much underrated malaise in our country .
Over the years, Pristine's growth has paralleled the expansion of these sectors. Its products have been appreciated by leading organizations for their unique blends and quality control across the value chain. Today, Pristine also manufactures its own range of organic products.
Now, 25 years later, Pristine has become a pioneer in organic foods, nutraceuticals, and critical medical diets for rare genetic disorders. Notably, it is recognized by the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), has a inbuilt laboratory that is NABL certified for rigourous adherement to quality, and one of only five companies worldwide to address Inborn Error Metabolism (IEM) issues.
Going ahead, Pristine strives to uphold the same ideologies it was born out of, and grow to add true health to our society.

Founder & Managing Director
KC Raghu was the Managing Director of Pristine Organics till 2023. Pristine was founded with a desire to improve the health of people and the planet in a holistic manner. In this pursuit, his visionary ideas and work enabled Pristine to establish itself as a pioneer in organic products, nutraceutical foods, and premixes. He was specially interested in the development of diets for children with Inborn Errors of Metabolism in India, creating life- saving supplements at a low cost. He was a voracious reader and learner, who spread his knowledge to the world through various visual and written media. In his free time, he enjoyed yoga and philosophy.

deepa vishwanathan
Founder & Managing Director
Deepa Vishwanathan is the current Managing Director of Pristine. Her key role in the development of novel products and initiation into the organic field were instrumental in establishing Pristine as a unique, innovative and groundbreaking organisation. She has been assertive and determined about in- house quality and has independently managed and directed Pristine Laboratories, our food quality control lab, since 2008. She spearheaded the efforts to mandate the same lab with a NABL accreditation in 2016, and also technically fortifies the organisation with similar training and certification in other fields like Coffee Roasting & Brewing, AGMARK, and Microbiological Testing for Quality. In her free time, she is deeply into music and various forms of art.
