
Kodo Millet Pulao Ingredients:
- 1 cup Fields of Gold Organic Kodo Millet (soak for an hour before use)
- 1 chopped onion
- 1-2 green chillies
- 1 cup vegetables (carrots, beans, potato, etc.)
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- ½ tsp turmeric
For tempering:
- 3 tsp ghee/ oil
- 1-inch piece Fileds of Gold Organic Cinnamon
- 1 black cinnamon
- 1 tsp Fileds of Gold Organic Fennel Seeds
- 1-2 Fields of Gold Organic Bay leaves
- 10-12 mint leaves
- 3 cups water
Kodo Millet Pulao – Preparation Method:
- Heat a small pressure cooker and saute with oil/ ghee and add cinnamon, black cinnamon, fennel and bay leaf.
- Stir and add onion and ginger garlic paste.
- Add washed, drained millet to it and mix well and cook for a few minutes
- Add water, salt and bring to boil
- Add the chopped veggies, mint leaves and salt
- Mix well and pressure cook for 5-7 mins (2 whistles)
- Serve hot with a garnish of coriander leaves
