Preparation

  1. Rinse millet.

  2. Grind together millets and tender coconut along with the pulp.

  3. Add yeast and let it ferment for around 8 hours.

  4. Add salt to the batter after fermentation.

  5. Baste appam kadhai with coconut oil and swirl around ladle full of batter, cover the kadhai and cook on low flame.

  6. Serve with stew or chutney of your choice.
